Covid-19 Update

Kevin Goodman • 4 March 2022

Latest Government guidelines.

From Thursday 24 February 2022:

  • People are no longer legally required to self-isolate if they test positive for COVID-19.
  • People do not have to take daily tests or be legally required to self-isolate following contact with someone who has tested positive for COVID-19.
  • Sport specific COVID-19 Guidance is no longer required

What this means for MPYFC:

We no longer need to:

  • Provide separate COVID-19 guidance to parents, players, officials and volunteers
  • Maintain the NHS Test and Trace.
  • Managers carry full COVID-19 PPE, however they may wish to continue carry some of the PPE as part of the overall managers kit bag

We should still continue to:

  • Encourage everyone to check for symptoms, test if appropriate and stay away from a session if testing positive
  • Use the formal club football session invites as these are seen as best practice and support our ongoing Charter status
  • Provide a duty of care for all players so please continue to take appropriate measures to mitigate any identified risks
  • Review Government guidance for living with COVID-19 can be found here Government’s plan for Living with COVID.

We will continue to monitor the situation and provide updates as required. Thanks for all your support and efforts over the least couple of years to keep our club operating safely.

Regards

Kevin
